The process of taking photos is for me a process of experimentation and (occasionally) discovery.  Sometimes I find that I’ve taken, more or less by chance, a stunning image.  I’ve started becoming alert for, not necessarily interesting images, but possibilities for interesting images.  To take a photo of something ordinary and familiar and then find that it results in an image that is seemingly magical and mysterious is a wonderful experience.

Some places I keep coming back to to try more photos: the attic, the basement, and the front parlor.  Each of these places has a subtle strangeness to it but so far I have not succeeded in capturing it photographically.  So I keep coming back and trying again.
